9:00am- School Days opens

3:30pm- School Days ends

4:00pm Event Closes for the day

Open to Public, Private and Homeschool Groups. and College students with ID. Public is welcome to attend, but please be aware that our main goal is to educate the school children that are attending.

Parking Fee's apply to everyone

6:00am- Modern Vendor setup begins

all modern vendors will be located at the Chapel area of the Savannah side campground

8:00am- All vehicles cleared from modern/Historic area except designated vehicles and golf carts.

9:00am- Petersburg Rendezvous kicks off

10:00am Wilkes County Militia Revolutionary War Drill and Discussion on the History on the Unit

11:00am Sumter Artillery Canon Firing Demonstration/53Ga & 16th Ga Discussions on Civil War History and Firearms

12PM

1:00PM

2;00PM Wilkes County Militia Revolutionary War Drill and Discussion on the History on the Unit

3;00PM Sumter Artillery Canon Firing Demonstration/53Ga & 16th Ga Discussions on Civil War History and Firearms

Their will be Primitive demonstrations, Living History throughout the day at specified locations around the park

4:00pm Event closes officially closes

 

No formal Programs are scheduled at this time. Public is welcome to come out and visit 

Descriptions

The main day use area, Parking and shuttle pick up and drop off

All modern vendors will be located at the Chapel area at the entrance to the Savannah side campground.

The Historic area will be host to the 1700-1840 & 1870-1915 Historians and  Native American, Immigrant colonization, French Trapper, Militiamen- early Mountain Man era and Westward migration.
